Overview

We taught the community (grades 4-12, teachers, and parents of young children) the dangers of household hazardous wastes and how to choose safer alternatives.

 

Project Description

Triangle developed and presented hands-on household hazardous waste lessons related to human health and the environment for grades 4-12 students and teachers, adult English language learners (ELL), and parents of young children on behalf of the Local Hazardous Waste Management Program in King County. The program included curriculum development, classroom and community presentations, teacher trainings, and  project support. The purpose of the program was to provide training, resources, and materials on the safe use and disposal of household hazardous products as well as safer alternatives.
