Project Associate Debbie Tully spends most of her week on the road, presenting environmental workshops at secondary schools across King County. Debbie is renowned for her ability to engage students of all ages, getting them actively involved in topics such as waste reduction, recycling, resource conservation, over-consumption and biodiversity. When at the office, she provides behind the scenes support to delivering and evaluating hundreds of school programs and helps develop educational and promotional materials.
Debbie has a strong background in Arts Education and Theatre. Originally from London, England, she has a degree in Drama and Theatre Studies. Upon graduating, Debbie worked extensively in theatre in education, both as a performer and director. Since joining Triangle in 2007, she has helped create new workshops and presentations that use the skills of improvisation and role play to encourage students to problem-solve and debate current issues of waste reduction and personal responsibility. She is constantly finding new and creative ways to connect with the diverse range of teenagers she meets each day.
In her spare time, Debbie gets to jazzercise class as often as possible! She loves going to the theatre, live music, hanging out with the family, and attempts to play the drums and piano.
