Associate Ellen Blair is an experienced communicator with a strong background in natural resource science and policy. Ellen excels at communicating complex, technical information using everyday language, and she provides writing and editing expertise for products including watershed plans, multi-agency policy reports, and public information materials Ellen’s experience in public outreach, stakeholder processes, communications and policy analysis has spanned a wide range of subjects, including water resource management, wildlife conservation, timber operations, and greenhouse gas reduction market opportunities.
Prior to joining Triangle, Ellen conducted policy research for a non-profit organization. She has also helped develop environmental impact reports, designed and conducted field surveys for endangered butterflies, and worked with the U.S. Geological Survey’s Center for Science Policy.
In her spare time, Ellen enjoys boating, traveling, practicing Spanish, and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
