Education Specialist Erin McGourty focuses on behavior change and education. Erin is known for her efficient and effective program development, scheduling, and presentation of student workshops to meet the goals of teachers, students, and government clients. She presents classroom workshops on alternative energy sources, waste reduction, product stewardship, water conservation, and surface water management. She also provides parent presentations on household hazardous wasteand works closely with teachers and school district staff to conduct successful workshops on protecting environmental health in school and at home. Erin uses her communications background to provide support to Triangle through editing, writing, and formatting program materials for all projects as well as the quarterly Triangle Newsletter.
Prior to joining Triangle, Erin taught outdoor education to grades 4-12. She graduated from Western Washington University in 2004 with a degree in Environmental Planning and Policy as well as a minor in Journalism.
When not at Triangle, Erin enjoys wakeboarding, snowboarding, hiking, snuggling with her kitten Pita, bicycling along the Sammamish River Trail, and volunteering in the National Parks.
