Vice President Jennifer Howell is a public outreach and education expert with 25 years of experience. She has a stellar record of getting results on fast-paced public involvement projects, ranging from solid waste facilities planning, siting water pipelines, adding HOV lanes, or conducting environmental review of airport projects. Jennifer works with clients to create appropriate strategies to effectively engage the public. She also designs and produces informational materials in attractive and varied formats (newsletters, web pages, presentations, and reports) that provide the necessary information for the public to participate.
Jennifer knows how students learn. She also knows what it takes to create materials and activities that spark student interest, provide clear choices, and motivate students to take actions that have long-term environmental benefits. For almost 20 years, she has developed and managed school programs throughout the Puget Sound region that have educated and stimulated students to participate in waste reduction and recycling, to choose safe alternatives over hazardous products, and to conserve natural resources. Her programs consistently receive high marks for both teacher and student satisfaction, changes in student learning, and reported changes in behavior.
Jennifer is an avid reader, gardener, and hiker, and belongs to several organizations supporting these interests.
