Project Associate Jeremy DeWitt has been working in the field of education for more than a decade, sharing his passion for natural science with students in both field-based and classroom learning environments. His strong belief that all young learners are drawn by their innate curiosity to question the world around them guides Jeremy’s teaching practices and development of curricula. Through his work for Triangle, Jeremy explores with teachers and students the connection between human actions and changes in local ecosystems.
Prior to working at Triangle, Jeremy received a Master of Education degree in Science Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Washington in 2003, where he investigated the role field-based learning experiences play in supporting classroom-based science curricula. His former positions as an elementary science classroom teacher and as an outdoor environmental science instructor provide him with a practical and knowledgable foundation for his current work at Triangle.
While not at work, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family and friends exploring the rich diversity of landscapes found in the Puget Sound region.
