Associate Karen Schrantz focuses on a wide variety of public involvement, facilitation and education projects at Triangle. An impartial facilitator, she is experienced at facilitating stakeholder groups, developing and implementing education programs, and managing projects to meet client needs and expectations cost-effectively. She now draws on her facilitation and education background to develop training, marketing and outreach materials for a variety of environmental education programs. Her projects include managing a comprehensive water education program and providing technical assistance with recycling improvements and conservation efforts, teacher training, and customized presentations for students and parent groups. Karen is skilled at designing and presenting programs tailored to a variety of learning styles, relevant to the audience and that encourage behavior change. With a direct and engaging style, she supports and motivates teachers, students, and district staff. As a result, program participants consistently report high satisfaction and a commitment to positive change.
Karen’s background also includes serving as a volunteer mediator and as a bilingual aide in language assessment. In addition, she taught in elementary and junior high schools for four years.
In their free time, Karen, husband Pete, daughter Samantha, and son Daniel enjoy traveling, hiking and camping.
