Senior Associate Vicki King is a skilled strategist who has designed and implemented numerous collaborative processes and public involvement plans in her 20 years at Triangle. Her multi-party work has focused on tough issues such as the future of Washington State’s old growth forests, cleanup at Hanford, reducing airport noise, siting controversial facilities, or facilitating constructive community decision-making. Her focus as a facilitator is to encourage respectful dialogue and discussion that moves toward mutually acceptable results. She continuously evaluates group processes and makes adjustments accordingly.
Vicki helps clients assess public involvement and information needs, often using stakeholder interviews to identify key issues and opportunities. She then designs detailed public involvement plans and implements the resulting plans. She supports public outreach efforts through preparation of attractive and informative newsletters, fact sheets, informational boards, and meetings that meet the needs of the client and of interested publics. Vicki is an experienced writer and editor, who has written clear, concise and readable reports on a wide range of topics.
When not at Triangle, Vicki is often out birding or hiking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and beyond.
