There is a palpable excitement around the office these days, and for good reason. The Triangle Associates team has been recognized for their contribution to the trend towards successful woman-owned businesses.
Triangle, the longest running company of its kind, has been woman-owned for the majority of its 40-year history. In 2016, Senior Associates Betsy Daniels and Sara Gersten-Rothenberg stepped up to take on the roles of Co-Presidents, leading a very talented facilitation and education team into a new era of leadership and innovation. Within three years of taking the reins, Triangle was recognized for excellence as King County’s Woman-Owned Business of the Year for 2018. The award marks the latest of several received in recent years, including the INAGC Seattle City Light K-12 Education Award in 2017 and the City of Seattle Mayor’s Award for Small Business Excellence in 2005.
Triangle’s success runs parallel to a growing national entrepreneurial spirit among women that is opening doors and establishing gender equality among small business owners. According to American Express National Trends, woman-owned businesses now account for 39% of all U.S. firms and employ 8% of the total private sector workforce.
As Triangle looks toward 2019, its 40th year in business, Co-Presidents Betsy and Sara are thrilled to lead the company towards a milestone that marks its anniversary of success, determination, and a longstanding reputation for excellence.
